My husband and I went to eat on the Sunday parish fair, the duck was great, the red cabbage excellent! The service was always friendly and responded to our requests! It was definitely not our last visit to the Gasthof zur Post. Kudos !!!

Was there on the Sunday of the church fair with my friends. Food was excellent, we ate goose and duck. Dessert was very tasty and the service very friendly and polite. Will come more often from now on! Greetings from Penzberg

Never again - main course (duck) cold - red cabbage lukewarm, Kaiserschmarrn a single lump of dough, service disinterested (except for this recession, the nice service from Fischbach) and after we answered the question "it tasted good" "actually not" We were completely ignored by this and it was not even asked what was wrong. (Another drink order was of course no longer possible and the ordered dessert no longer came either) A direct complaint and an attempt to clarify or comment was tried directly in the restaurant since we are also locals and a new host positively approached - but the answer there was "so far nobody has complained" and that was it - the bill was then Also the desserts that weren't there - which the landlord graciously removed from the bill - again without apology etc - a shame about beirn but never again.

Traditional Bavarian Restaurant - very well recommended

A wonderful and completely renovated huge inn. We stayed there for 3 nights. The rooms are very nicely decorated and brand new. Everything clean and tidy. The food was delicious and regional. High-quality. All employees (including the tenants) are very nice. Nothing is missing here. The location of the inn is sensational. Whether to the Zugspitze, Garmisch Partenkirchen, Lake Starnberg, Walchensee, Innsbruck etc. everything can be reached within a very short time. We liked it very much and we will definitely be back!

Schnitzel ok, currywurst cold and tastes more like the curryking from the cooling shelf, soup probably instant broth.

Large Bavarian tavern, food is good, service not unfriendly.

We were there to eat, it's a very nice inn, the veal schnitzel we ordered was rather poor and not recommendable for the high price. The service was good though, very friendly waiters.

For the food alone it would be 5/5 stars, it tasted great! But I have to deduct one star for the service. This was rather average compared to the food. It took a relatively long time until the waitress came or the drinks were brought (although you have to say that the waitress was alone that evening).

A beautiful guest house with newly renovated rooms that offer relaxation, are tastefully and modernly furnished. An insider tip not only for St. James pilgrims on the Camino. Good cuisine with friendly service and Bavarian flair. Booked for the 3rd time.

Corona rather unknown, meat dishes very tasty The food, especially the meat dishes, were very tasty and well seasoned. The Obazte, on the other hand, is a bit overpriced at € 7.50 from the can / the supermarket and the menu would certainly benefit from a few typical Bavarian classics - instead, in my opinion, you could do without snack offers such as currywurst with french fries. Unfortunately, the corona recording obligation was completely ignored (not only at our table) and it would have been nice to briefly free the table from the leftovers of the predecessors. In addition, the presumably still new service was missing a bit of cordiality (e.g. goodbye, thank you very much) and commitment when reordering. Nevertheless, we will give Swiss Post another chance in the coming months because the schnitzel / steak & Co. was otherwise really tasty.

Very good home-style food and super nice service. We have been here for the first time since the reopening and will definitely come more often.

Service a bit lame ... It took 3/4 hour to the 1st meal (of 2)! came ... The 2nd meal was wrong and was made again ...

Very nice rooms, newly renovated and therefore visually very appealing, it smelled like it was just made new. Beautifully furnished, spacious and cozy. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. We felt we were in very good hands! The breakfast was rather minimalist, but we didn't expect too much. A couple of rolls, a plate with sausage / cheese, Nutella / honey / jam, a pot of coffee and orange juice. If we are in the area again, we would definitely come again. The area there is also super beautiful, quiet, cozy and rural!

Excellent, and a delicious taste. Service very polite, friendly and above all attentive. You just have to go out to eat. We will be back.

Friendly staff, great room, just make sure if you need wifi, request a room with one. I had a room without and my friends had one 3 rooms away with it. :)

The room was good but service unfriendly and unwelcoming. The coffee was stale and breakfast was nothing to write home about. I can't recommend this place while the current owners are in charge.
